It's been a season of two halves

Following on from a spring that goes down as the fifth warmest on record for the UK

Following on from a spring that goes down as the fifth warmest on record for the UK, and near to average rainfall to that point, these conditions proved to be near perfect for grass growth which then resulted in some bumper crops of 1st cut silage.

Early silage growers with full clamp’s were already making lots of enquiries about storing their 2nd and 3rd cut crops in Budissa Bag’s to extend their storage capacity.

Fast forward a couple of month’s and we have a huge east / west divide the full length of the country, the east suffering badly with drought and parts of the west, especially the north west that hardly had a full dry day all summer!

The weather divide has also been reflected in our silage and moist feed bagging, with the west continuing to store grass, whole crop and maize as planned, the east has also been busy with forage bagging but also to make up for the drought deficit they have been looking a lot more at storing alternative moist feed’s such as trafford gold, vita gold, pressed pulp, draff, brewers grains, crimped grain etc in Budissa Bag’s. This goes to prove we can provide a flexible solution what ever the weather with Budissa Bag products.
